Educational Qualification & Experience:
Chemist Trainee -> Post Graduate M.Sc. (Chemistry) preferably in Analytical Chemistry in First Class with 60% marks (Full Time course) from a recognized University/Institute.
General Workman-B -> First Class Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical Engineering / Technology (Full time course) with 60% marks from a recognized University / Institute. One year post qualification experience in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Chemical/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer Industry OR One year apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act In a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Chemical/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer Industry.
General Workman-B (Trainee) -> Should have passed SSLC or its equivalent. Should have passed National Trade Certificate (NTC) examination in the FITTER/ MACHINIST/ELECTRICIAN trade with 60% marks or above AND possess National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the FITTER/MACHINIST/ELECTRICIAN trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour. Desirable – HVD Driving Licence.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 Years as on 1st June 2015 for all posts.
Selection Process: Written Test and Interview. The centre for Written Test will be at Kochi.

Medical Standards: Candidates provisionally selected by BPCL will have to undergo a pre-employment medical examination before joining. The health of each candidate will be assessed by the Corporation’s Authorized Medical Officers / nominated hospitals and the appointment will be subject to meeting the medical standards prescribed by the Corporation.
(a) Myopia & Hypermetropia (vision), if any, should be within permissible limits.
(b) Colour blindness or squint, partial or full, is not acceptable in any case.
(c) Night blindness and Glaucoma is also not acceptable.
(d) Noise induced hearing loss and bilateral hearing loss shall be considered a disqualification.
(e) Any other major medical ailment will debar a candidate from being eligible for the job.
